Hello,

I’m Justine.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NJ and VT and I absolutely love what I do.

I have a unique opportunity to spend my days connecting with children, teens, and adults who need support and a safe space to process, learn, and align with their true selves. My genuine approach allows clients to feel comfortable enough to do the work of healing and growing.

Deciding to start therapy isn’t always easy, and I commend everyone who takes that first step. We all deserve to feel aligned with our true selves, and I’m grateful to be able to accompany you or your child on the journey.

therapeutic approaches

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. We utilize evidence-based approaches and adapt them according to the individual client's needs. This list of therapies that we use.

  • Solution-focused therapy is a counseling approach that concentrates on finding practical solutions to problems rather than dwelling on the issues themselves. In this therapy, the counselor collaborates with the person to define their goals and identify their strengths and resources to achieve them. It’s a forward-thinking and efficient method, often showing results in just a few sessions. This approach is ideal for those who are eager to make quick changes and focus on actionable steps to enhance their situation.

  • Mindfulness-based therapy helps people stay focused on the present moment. Instead of getting caught up in regrets about the past or anxieties about the future, this therapy teaches you to pay attention to what’s happening right now, like your breathing or how your body feels. It’s useful for staying calm and handling stress or tough emotions. By practicing mindfulness, you can learn to react to situations more thoughtfully and less impulsively.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy aims to assist with managing intense emotions and build better relationships. It combines techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with mindfulness practices, helping people to accept their feelings while also working to change harmful behaviors.

DBT focuses on four main skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Attachment-based therapy focuses on improving relationships by addressing the way early experiences with caregivers shape our ability to connect with others. It helps individuals understand and heal from past attachment issues, which can affect their current relationships. The therapy works to build secure, trusting relationships by exploring and repairing emotional bonds. By improving attachment styles, people can develop healthier and more fulfilling connections with others.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. It teaches individuals to identify and challenge negative or unhelpful thoughts, replacing them with more positive and realistic ones. Through practical strategies and problem-solving techniques, CBT aims to change harmful behavior patterns and improve overall well-being. It is effective for treating various issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress.
