“Just like the aspen tree, we are all connected to one another at the source of our being…We are connected by our roots. For me, in this realization, there is beauty, and there is peace. Peace in knowing that we are not alone.”

areas of specialty
We specialize in adoption, with a focus on supporting families where interracial (sometimes called transracial) adoptions have occurred. For children of color in predominantly white communities, we recognize the intricate dynamics they face and prioritize discussions around identity and belonging, helping clients articulate and understand their experiences in these contexts We also provide guidance for families involved with child protective services, regardless of the case goal, including supervised visitation and parenting classes.
Adoption
Racial, Ethnic & Gender Identity
We offer support to individuals exploring and embracing their racial, ethnic, and gender identities. Our work includes helping clients navigate the complexities of identity formation, particularly in environments where they may feel marginalized or misunderstood. Individuals who need gender-affirming care, have multi-racial identities or are first or second-generation Americans find our approach useful in building a strong sense of self and embracing their identities.
Depression and Anxiety
By using evidence-based techniques, we guide clients through symptoms of depression and anxiety that affect their ability to regulate emotions and process experiences. We utilize an integrative approach that goes beyond “talk therapy” and includes psychoeducational for both children and adults as well as inquiry into other factors that may be present.
Also accepting clients needing support with:
ADHD/Autism
Behavioral Challenges with Children
LGBTQ+ issues
Major life transitions (divorce, entering college, moving, etc)

frequently asked questions
what can I expect during the first session?
